Ma’alaea sits on Maui’s Southshore on the way to Lahaina. Ma’alaea is known for one of Maui’s major harbors, whale watching, boating activities, and Maui’s only Ocean Aquarium. Ma’alaea has a small strip of residential homes and 9 condominium complexes. Ma’alaea also has a small shopping complex with the Pacific Whale Foundation, restaurants, and a variety of shops. It is known for being one of the windiest towns on Maui.
